Survival Rates Are Very Low

The overall five-year relative survival rate for lung cancer is low as a result of the large proportion of cases diagnosed with advance stage disease (American Cancer Society). Lung Cancer kills almost twice as many women as breast cancer and has since 1987 (LCFA America).
