August 9, 2022, Lexington, KY: Thynk Health is a market-leading platform designed to simplify the management of incidental findings and cancer screening. Seeing exponential growth and continued product innovation, Thynk Health is excited to bring Dr. Shawn Regis to the team as Director of Analytics and Clinical Quality Assurance.
“Being involved with lung screening for many years, I understand the effort required for daily management of screening programs. I’ve spent a lot of time gathering, analyzing, and benchmarking lung cancer screening data. Thynk Health’s platform not only allows sites to simply and effectively track patients in their LCS program, but it also easily tracks incidental findings and follow-ups. The level of analytics and quality reporting produced by this solution is unmatched and pairing that with the advanced natural language processing technology along with machine learning and recurrent neural networking, this is a truly remarkable solution,” said Dr. Regis.
With nearly a decade of experience in CT lung cancer screening navigation and data analysis, Dr. Regis offers invaluable, first-hand experience and knowledge on the matter of designing and implementing effective cancer screening programs and incidental findings management. He is a co-author of the ALA/ATS Lung Screening Implementation Guide and the Massachusetts Statewide 2017-2021 Cancer Plan, a panelist on a Thoracic Oncology Perspective Series providing practical guidance about lung cancer screening, and was a member of the advisory committee for an Association of Community Cancers Center initiative to develop an optimal care coordination model for lung cancer patients with Medicaid. Dr. Regis co-authored more than 20 manuscripts on the topic of lung cancer screening, has presented around the world, and has been invited to speak about lung cancer screening by groups such as the American Lung Association, GO2 Foundation, and LuCa National Training Network. Additionally, Dr. Regis is the secretary of the Rescue Lung Society, a multidisciplinary, caregiver-driven, 501(c)(3) organization providing team-based solutions to empower lung health and reduce health disparities through prevention and early detection.
Utilizing state-of-the-art AI and deep learning algorithms, Thynk Health’s solution can reduce cancer deaths by increasing early detection with a total cancer screening solution that identifies and screens more at-risk patients, detects cancer earlier, and ensures patients do not slip through the cracks of complex screening and care delivery programs. This advanced solution allows healthcare organizations to scale their cancer screening programs while requiring less operational resources and improving patient care, making more powerful, efficient, and effective programs.
Now healthcare systems can automate the tracking and management of incidental findings for a range of modalities. Thynk Health extracts data from imaging reports and automatically tracks size, location, characteristics, changes, and other critical data. This actionable data is presented to caregivers with interactive, efficient dashboards. The Thynk Insights analytics platform brings this data to life with customized reporting helping improve quality, efficiency, and outcomes in all areas of cancer care.
